This will only work for iPad 3 and higher as well as galaxy Note tablet and higher. It comes with 2 skylanders and 2 traps. The traps are to trap the opponents after you beat that level. Of they're trapped then you can use them as characters on other quests. Be careful with the lives of the skylanders because if you die fighting a bad guy then you'll need to put another skylander on the portal. If you kill all of the skylanders then you have to restart the quest or postpone your playing time to give the skylander time to rejuvinate. The people who are writing poor ratings about the game don't understand the game. Those having compatability problems with the tablets should have checked to make sure it was compatible first, duh!! When these new tablets come out they have upgraded and new software, so with this game being new to tablets COMMON SENSE should have told some people to check compatibility with older tablets before they bought the game. The game is amazing! If you're not a real gamer and if you kid is not over the age of 6 then don't get it. It's not for small kids or people without the real gaming skills. This game is NOT for everyone! Research before you buy and when you see kiosk in the mall set up to demo or play a game for free, you should stop by and try it them out before you buy. You would think the stuff I'm saying is a no brainer, but people don't research the way they should.
