The band is thick, and the earpieces slide in a groove in the center of it. They do not wiggle back and forth leaving kids anything to play with or break. The earpieces are well-padded like more expensive classic stereo headphones and not covered with removable (read: destroyable and lose-able) foam like many headphones.

This case is awesome! Stands portrait or landscape really well. The rubber around the frame makes it impossible to fall over or back when using the stand. The really long adjustable strap makes it really easy to transition from locking it onto a car headrest--to a carrying strap--to locking it on a shopping cart or stroller. This is a great product to keep your iPhone safe & fun for your baby. The case has a quarter turn screw on the back that you open with a coin to allow installation and removal of the phone. The home button is covered and the touch screen is covered with a piece of plastic. We'll see how it holds up but at the moment it looks like it will protect the phone from drool, and definitely dirty fingers, and provide some protection should the phone be dropped.
